Experience

Rochelle has a professional background specialising in rehabilitation counselling, human resources, and organisational psychology, having completed her MBA qualification through Murdoch University. Rochelle has worked in the workers compensation industry in a number of roles over a 29 year period, including psychology, human resource management, vocational rehabilitation consulting, claims and injury management, case management of the long term unemployed, self-insurance, and insurer based injury management.

Rochelle worked as the internal manager of workers compensation for several multinational employers before moving to an insurer based role, where she was both a Team Leader and Injury Management Advisor, including performance monitoring of panel rehabilitation providers. She is therefore a key identifier of those qualities and service issues that are essential for superior injury management performance. She has continued to maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the workers compensation system, and has developed policy and procedural programs for an extensive number of state and national based employer groups on both an internal and consultancy basis.

Lauren is an accredited Exercise Physiologist who has worked in the workers compensation industry in a number of roles since 2013. The majority of her roles have included educating and mentoring self-insurers and employers within the local governments of Western Australia to meet their legislative requirements for injury management. She also has experience within the mining industry, having worked in fly-in fly-out roles herself. Lauren is well experienced in providing strategic case management of injured workers claims including liaising with all key stakeholders, monitoring workplace rehabilitation and allied health providers, and conducting workplace and ergonomic assessments. She is passionate about supporting her clients to achieve effective and sustainable return to work outcomes in a timely and cost effective manner.

Throughout her studies Kylie assisted with the development of strength and conditioning programs to improve performance and provide guidance on recovery for individuals recovering from injury.

Kylie provides effective communication and compassion, to ensure that the individual’s goals are developed appropriately, and that they felt supported and heard.Kylie has a key interest in the area of Chronic Pain and the development of methods associated with the management of Chronic Pain. Kylie aims to provide support, understanding, and education, to assist clients and relevant stakeholders with the management of their pain and lifestyle modifications. The recovery pathway that individuals go through when experiencing chronic pain can produce highly challenging barriers to overcome, of which Kylie provides education and guidance to assist the individual with overcoming and/ or accepting these evolving changes into their ‘new lifestyle’.

As an Exercise Physiologist, she helps to identify biopsychosocial impacts and barriers, and determines appropriate strategies to resolve or overcome these challenges to achieve a positive rehabilitation goal.
