Experience

Jon is a reputable, hands-on leader who has 17 years’ experience working in the industry. Following commencing his career in a clinical role working in the Paediatric Disability field, Jon worked at an insurance agent as an Injury Management Advisor before progressing to leadership roles and management of their Occupational Rehab panel. Following this exposure to Occupational Rehabilitation, Jon joined a national Rehab Provider to lead up their regional teams and provide framework and governance to improve performance and market share. Under his leadership the teams grew 250% and their performance was consistently above scheme benchmarks. Jon has also worked in National Leadership roles with large, multinational Occupational Rehabilitation Providers, which he was an active member of their Senior Executive Leadership Teams as well as being an active and influential member on the ARPA Board, including being part of the Executive panel for the past 4 years.

Jon is passionate about improving client’s lives following injury and is an advocate of the Health Benefits of Good Work. He is an innovative leader who enjoys exploring and creating the new best practices to operationalise in order to best support client’s recovery and their return to work and life.

In Jon’s personal life he is an avid AFL supporter of his beloved West Coast Eagles and enjoys spending time with his children camping, fishing and being in the outdoors.

Experience

Rochelle has a professional background specialising in rehabilitation counselling, human resources, and organisational psychology, having completed her MBA qualification through Murdoch University. Rochelle has worked in the workers compensation industry in a number of roles over a 29 year period, including psychology, human resource management, vocational rehabilitation consulting, claims and injury management, case management of the long term unemployed, self-insurance, and insurer based injury management.

Rochelle worked as the internal manager of workers compensation for several multinational employers before moving to an insurer based role, where she was both a Team Leader and Injury Management Advisor, including performance monitoring of panel rehabilitation providers. She is therefore a key identifier of those qualities and service issues that are essential for superior injury management performance. She has continued to maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the workers compensation system, and has developed policy and procedural programs for an extensive number of state and national based employer groups on both an internal and consultancy basis.

Experience

Lauren is an accredited Exercise Physiologist who has worked in the workers compensation industry in a number of roles since 2013. The majority of her roles have included educating and mentoring self-insurers and employers within the local governments of Western Australia to meet their legislative requirements for injury management. She also has experience within the mining industry, having worked in fly-in fly-out roles herself. Lauren is well experienced in providing strategic case management of injured workers claims including liaising with all key stakeholders, monitoring workplace rehabilitation and allied health providers, and conducting workplace and ergonomic assessments. She is passionate about supporting her clients to achieve effective and sustainable return to work outcomes in a timely and cost effective manner.

Sian is a dedicated and motivated Occupational Therapist, with experience in workplace rehabilitation, injury management and education. Sian is passionate about supporting her clients to achieve the best possible recovery, and she collaborates closely with GPs, allied health professionals and other key parties to facilitate this. Her strengths include complex injury management, ergonomics and manual tasks technique training, in addition to safety consultation and risk management. Sian maintains engagement with the Occupational Therapy profession in her capacity as an academic tutor and clinical educator for OT students, primarily in the fields of ergonomics and vocational rehabilitation.

Dominique is a distinguished healthcare professional known for her expertise in injury management. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Exercise Rehabilitation from The University of Western Australia and gained her Accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist.

Her career began in a clinical setting, where she specialised in the implementation of comprehensive injury prevention initiatives, clinical exercise rehabilitation, ergonomic assessments, fitness-for-work evaluations, and musculoskeletal assessments. Dominique’s professional journey has led her to excel in the field of injury management including working as a Team Leader to educate and support injury management consultants with differing clinical backgrounds.

Dominique is distinguished by her adept use of clinical knowledge and exceptional negotiation skills, enabling her to effectively orchestrate the return of injured workers to the workforce. Her experience extends across diverse regulatory frameworks and legislations, and she demonstrates adaptability when dealing with new portfolios. Dominique’s dedication to optimising the health and productivity of individuals within the workplace serves as a testament to her reputation as a committed and highly efficient Injury Management Consultant.

Kylie has a great passion for providing medical and recovery guidance to assist people with returning to their normal routines. Throughout her studies Kylie assisted with the development of strength and conditioning programs to improve performance and provide guidance on recovery for individuals recovering from injury.

Kylie provides effective communication and compassion, to ensure that the individual’s goals are developed appropriately, and that they felt supported and heard.

Kylie has a key interest in the area of Chronic Pain and the development of methods associated with the management of Chronic Pain. Kylie aims to provide support, understanding, and education, to assist clients and relevant stakeholders with the management of their pain and lifestyle modifications. The recovery pathway that individuals go through when experiencing chronic pain can produce highly challenging barriers to overcome, of which Kylie provides education and guidance to assist the individual with overcoming and/ or accepting these evolving changes into their ‘new lifestyle’.

As an Exercise Physiologist, she helps to identify biopsychosocial impacts and barriers, and determines appropriate strategies to resolve or overcome these challenges to achieve a positive rehabilitation goal. Kylie brings passion for organisation and empathy to her work, providing individuals with an outlet to rest their burdens and improve their recovery journey and time.

Experience

“Xander” is a dedicated Injury Management Consultant who has experience working within large manufacturing companies across VIC, SA, WA and TAS. Since relocating to Melbourne in 2021, Xander completed his master’s degree in clinical Exercise Physiology following which he worked as an Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant, as well as gaining experience in a clinical setting. Xander has also previously worked as an Event Director of a Master Franchise in Sydney and where he developed a range of professional and interpersonal skills and expanded his knowledge within the field of Allied Health. He has strong communication skills, work ethic and leadership qualities as well as enjoying working in a team environment.

Xander’s passion is working with people less fortunate than himself who are going through challenging times in their life. He shows his clients empathy whilst remaining to have a goal orientated approach to support them in their recovery. He is also a self-motivated leader who is passionate about working in a range of communities and being exposed to different work environments and clients with different presenting injuries. Xander uses a biopsychosocial approach to servicing his clients to understand their true motivations and barriers and then works closely with them and the relevant other stakeholders to achieve the best outcome for all parties.

Since being in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry, Xander has thrived and found his calling, evidenced by his nomination as the Best New Starter within the 2023 Victorian ARPA awards.
